Loffredo Fresh Foods is seeking a Non CDL Runback Driver for local delivery out of the Des Moines, IA area. You will touch freight, deliver to local customers, check orders for accuracy, and ensure a positive customer experience during every interaction.

The role requires operating a 26ft box truck, passing background and DOT checks, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly. Schedule is 7 AM until completion; Sundays and Thursdays off. Competitive benefits included.

Non CDL Runback Driver (Local Delivery)

Location: Des Moines, IA

Join Loffredo Fresh Foods as a Non CDL Run Back Driver based out of our Des Moines Branch. We are a local, family-owned food and produce distributor that has proudly served the Midwest region for over 130 years. We distribute to 11 different states across our 7 locations. Our drivers touch freight!As a Run Back Driver, you are the team member that our customers interact with the most. Providing exceptional customer service is a key part of this role and is essential in maintaining our commitment to customer service. You will interact with customers professionally, ensuring a positive delivery experience and addressing any questions or concerns. Duties include taking a 4 pallet truck out to local customers in the Kansas City area. Checking orders for accuracy, inspecting product for damage, and keeping accurate records of deliveries.

Pay: $18 per hour

Schedule:7 AM till the work is completed

Days off: Sunday and Thursday

What we look for:

• Valid interstate eligible driver's license, 21+ or older
• Access to reliable and punctual transportation
• Pass a background check (including sex offender registry)
• Willing to recertify DOT Med Card and pass a DOT drug screen
• Able to pass a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) and Clearinghouse full query
• Must be able to read and write English
• Attention to detail and accuracy in delivery orders
• Must be comfortable driving a 26ft box truck

What you’ll do:

• SAFETY FIRST. Must be able to safely operate vehicles at all times and follow all safety guidelines
• Must be comfortable driving and unloading in varying weather conditions
• Deliver and communicate with customers in a professional manner
• Unload products using a ramp and hand dolly
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75 lbs. occasionally
