Job summary

Crystal Group, Inc. seeks a motivated intern in mechanical engineering to assist in design, development and verification of mechanical components and assemblies for harsh environments.

You will work on sheet-metal and machined parts, and help integrate mechanical and electrical subsystems in a hands-on, on-site setting in Iowa. Strong CAD tools experience (AutoCAD, Inventor) is preferred, with exposure to 3D design and basic FEA/CFD concepts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or Inventor is preferred.
• Willingness to work in an on-site environment with occasional floor exposure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, and verification of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Support sheet-metal and machined-metal part projects and integration with electrical components.
• Provide technical input and mentoring to junior designers as needed.
