Job summary

Crystal Group in Cedar Rapids, IA invites an Intern, Mechanical Engineer to assist in designing, developing, and verifying mechanical components and assemblies, including sheet metal and machined parts, integrating mechanical and electrical elements.

You will work under the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, applying AutoCAD or Inventor, learning manufacturability, and supporting testing and documentation. This is a full-time, on-site internship focused on producing producible designs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience with 3D design and CAD tools preferred.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and verify mechanical components and assemblies.
• Support packaging and integration of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Review drawings for manufacturability and quality.
• Provide mentorship and collaborate with junior designers/engineers.
