Job summary

Crystal Group is seeking an Intern, Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical components, including sheet-metal and machined parts, and to help integrate these with electrical assemblies. You will work under the Mechanical Engineering manager in an on-site, full-time role with no travel required.

The position emphasizes applying AutoCAD and Inventor skills, understanding metal fabrication, and supporting system architects and production teams to ensure producible, reliable designs.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience with 3D design and CAD software preferred.
• Familiarity with metal parts machining, fabrication and assembly is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and verify mechanical components including sheet-metal and machined parts.
• Assist with integrating mechanical and electrical components into assemblies.
• Support pilots and troubleshooting in manufacturing and service environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior designers/engineers.
• Review drawings to ensure conformance to specifications and standards.
