Job summary

Edison Smart is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own rugged defence hardware from concept through testing and deployment, based in Livermore, CA, onsite.

You will perform SolidWorks CAD work, run FEA, support prototype builds, and collaborate with electrical, manufacturing and systems teams to ensure hardware withstands harsh environments.

Candidates should have broad mechanical engineering experience and be eligible for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience designing rugged mechanical hardware.
• Strong SolidWorks CAD capability.
• Practical FEA experience and ability to perform own analysis.
• Experience guiding products through design, prototyping, testing and field validation.
• Broad mechanical engineering background rather than narrow specialization.
