Job summary

Everforth Apex in Atlanta, GA is seeking a hands-on Hardware Engineer to design rugged embedded electronics from concept to test, focusing on mixed-signal and digital hardware, circuit cards, high-speed interfaces, and modular platforms.

You will read datasheets, select components, bring up boards, and collaborate with software, firmware, and mechanical teams while mentoring newer engineers. On-site role with opportunities to influence open architectures and high-reliability systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Five years of hardware development experience with a Bachelor's degree, three years with a Master's degree, or a Ph.D. with demonstrated applied engineering capability in hardware development.
• Hands-on experience with circuit design, schematic capture, and printed circuit board development.

Responsibilities

• Perform circuit simulation, schematic capture, and board layout for submodules of a platform design.
• Generate detailed documentation of hardware design and theory of operation.
• Conduct laboratory testing, troubleshooting, and prototype bring-up.
• Integrate electronic modules with software, firmware, mechanical, and other system components.
• Contribute to technical reports, design reviews, presentations, and proposals.
• Take ownership of moderate development efforts and mentor less-experienced engineers.
• Support the complete hardware workflow from component selection through to final system integration.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support research and development initiatives.
