Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to own ruggedized electronics hardware from concept through field deployment. You will work across electrical, thermal, manufacturing, quality and industrial design to create novel enclosures and cooling solutions for mission-critical systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, testing, and collaboration with warfighters.

Qualifications

• Experience designing ruggedized electronics hardware for harsh environments.
• Ability to own design from concept to field use.
• Strong fundamentals in engineering first principles.

Responsibilities

• Own ruggedized compute and communications hardware from concept to field use.
• Collaborate with electrical, thermal, manufacturing, quality, and industrial design teams.
• Engage with customers to understand battlefield challenges.
• Design enclosures, cooling solutions, and PCBAs from ground up.
• Solve packaging problems: thermal, shock/vibration, sealing, EMI/EMC, and dense integration.
• Apply MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 standards to designs.
• Build prototypes and first articles hands-on.
• Travel to exercises and work with warfighters for feedback and iteration.
