Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
• 3–7 years of relevant industry experience preferred (defense, rugged electronics, aerospace).
• Proficiency with Creo/SolidWorks; PDM experience a plus.
• Experience designing for harsh environments (shock, vibration, thermal extremes, ingress protection).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, enclosures, and assemblies for ruggedized electronic systems.
• Perform 3D modeling, simulation, and mechanical analysis using CAD tools.
• Create and maintain drawings, BOMs, test reports, and design verifications.
• Plan, build, and test prototypes to verify performance and environmental resilience.
• Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, and program management teams.
• Ensure manufacturability and quality through design process improvements.
