Job summary

CHAOS Industries is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide hands-on mechanical expertise for the integration of ruggedized electronics and mission-critical hardware into ground- and sea-mobile platforms for aerospace and defense applications.

The ideal candidate has a strong CAD foundation, prototyping experience, and an interest in ruggedized hardware design, with the drive to learn quickly in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• CAD experience for assemblies and top‑down design.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and integrate ruggedized electronics and mechanisms into ground and sea platforms.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and ICDs.
• Perform basic structural and thermal analyses under guidance.
• Support system integration, qualification, and fielding activities.
• Interface with customers, platform providers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
• Assist production transition and issue investigations.
