Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in New London, CT is seeking an Electrical Assembler to perform wiring, assembly and testing of ruggedized enclosures and sub-assemblies. You will interpret engineering drawings, follow MIL/quality procedures, and contribute to on-time production in a collaborative team setting.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to AS9100 standards, with opportunities to lead or train peers and advance within a supportive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• An AS Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering is a bonus.
• Technical Qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering adds value.
• J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Route, wire, assemble and install components in ruggedized enclosures per specs.
• Cut wires to specified lengths and insulate ends.
• Crimp terminals and lugs to wires using hand or machine tools.
• Route and attach wires to terminals per jig board layout and solder when needed.
• Connect wiring to relays, breakers, plugs and switches; install accessories.
• Perform continuity, insulation resistance, dielectric strength, and functional tests.
• Assemble components to final product using drawings, fixtures and tools.
• Read work orders, blueprints, and specs to determine assembly methods.
• Stage inspections and report quality issues; support team as needed.
