Job summary

Curtiss-Wright is seeking an Electrical Assembler in New London, CT. The role focuses on assembling ruggedized electrical enclosures, wiring, and sub-assemblies per drawings and MIL standards. You will use jigs, hand tools, and testing instruments to verify function and quality.

Responsibilities include component wiring, testing, and final assembly. Qualifications include a high school diploma and electrical knowledge; certifications are a bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• AS Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering is a plus.
• Technical qualification and IPC certifications are bonus credentials.
• Experience with MIL standards and IPC training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Route, wire, assemble, and install electrical components in ruggedized cabinets and enclosures.
• Crimp terminals and connect wiring to accessories using hand tools.
• Perform testing: continuity, insulation resistance, dielectric strength, and operational tests.
• Read blueprints, orders, and specifications to determine assembly methods.
• Mentor peers and ensure quality, safety, and documentation compliance.
• Stage inspections and support final delivery to customers.
