Job summary

Sharpvue is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design rugged, field-proven electrical systems for our cameras and mobile security trailers. You’ll develop power and control subsystems, validate performance, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to ship reliable products.

You will prototype, test, and troubleshoot in lab and in the field, ensure compliance with safety and EMC standards, and help select components and manage BOMs to balance cost and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years of hands-on electrical design experience
• Experience reading and creating schematics and wiring diagrams (Altium, EAGLE, KiCad)
• Familiarity with NEC/UL/EMC standards a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electrical systems for Sharpvue products — cameras, mobile security trailers, power and control systems
• Engineer off-grid power systems: solar arrays, battery banks, charge controllers, DC/AC conversion, and power budgeting
• Design and review wiring schematics, harnesses, connectors, and PCB-level circuits
• Select components and manage BOMs with an eye on cost, availability, and reliability
• Integrate cameras, sensors, networking gear, and third-party systems (e.g., cellular connectivity, alarm integrations)
• Build and test prototypes; troubleshoot in the lab and in the field
• Ensure designs meet relevant safety, EMC, and industry standards
• Document designs and support manufacturing, sourcing, and quality
