Job summary

CFD Research seeks a highly capable Electrical Engineer to design high-performance power electronics for military and aerospace applications. You will tackle complex design challenges, integrate hardware and firmware, and use advanced simulation and testing to deliver robust electronics for mission-critical systems.

The role requires hands-on schematic capture, PCB layout, SPICE-based analysis, and EMI/ESD mitigation to ensure compliance with AS9100 and MIL standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• Strong background in power electronics, converter topologies, switching devices, magnetics, and control techniques.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout using industry CAD tools (Altium, Mentor, KiCad).
• Familiarity with EMI/ESD, grounding, shielding, filtering, and noise control methods.
• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and validation of power electronic circuits and subsystems.
• Perform schematic capture and oversee PCB layout using industry CAD tools.
• Apply EMI/ESD mitigation strategies to meet MIL and aerospace standards.
• Prepare documentation and design artifacts per AS9100 quality management system.
