Job summary

Ernesta is seeking an experienced Sales and Design Consultant (Design Assistant) for our retail showroom in Manhasset, Long Island. You will educate customers on rug selection, material choices, and spatial planning while delivering a high-touch, frictionless buying experience.

In this two-hat role you will champion exceptional service across in-person, chat, text, and email channels, support order tracking and delivery logistics, and use CAD tools and 3D rendering to help customers visualize

Qualifications

2+ years in a consumer-facing role with direct sales experience.
Passionate about interior design and home décor trends.
Strong communication, empathy, and active listening.
Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Educate and advise customers on rug selection, material choices, and space planning.
Be a customer champion, handling inquiries and order-related matters.
Drive sales through follow-up and outreach to customers.
Maintain a clean, on-brand showroom and respond across channels (in person, chat, text, email, video, phone).
Provide design expertise, including floor plan layout and measurements.
Learn and use CAD/3D tools to help customers visualize spaces.
