Job summary

Ernesta is seeking an experienced full-time Sales and Design Assistant (Design Assistant) to join our Retail team in the Southport Corridor showroom. You will educate customers on rug selection, materials, and spatial planning while delivering a frictionless, enjoyable buying experience.

As a two-hat role, you’ll act as customer champion and design expert—delighting customers, handling inquiries and orders, advising on layout, and supporting with CAD/3D visuals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a consumer-facing role with sales/account management experience.
• Strong communication, empathy, and listening skills.
• Proficiency with online software tools including Zoom and Google Workspace.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work flexible retail showroom hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set industry standard for customer experience and sales.
• Drive sales through follow-up and outreach.
• Provide design expertise and product knowledge.
• Maintain a clean, on-brand showroom.
• Assist with inquiries, orders, delivery, and logistics.
• Support CAD/3D visuals to help customers envision their space.
• Build strong relationships and loyalty with customers.
• Contribute to feedback loops for internal processes.
