  • Review work orders and verify that raw materials and inserts are correct prior to beginning production.
  • Load inserts into molding machines, start production cycles, and obtain first-piece approval before beginning full production runs.
  • Operate and monitor multiple molding machines simultaneously to achieve production goals.
  • Remove molded panels from machines and load machines with the next insert.
  • Trim excess material (flash) and finish parts to established quality standards.
  • Ensure products are properly labeled and production documentation is completed accurately.
  • Scan finished panel barcodes into the computer system.
  • Inspect dies for tool damage before returning them to the tool room.
  • Monitor, record, and properly dispose of scrap material according to established procedures.
  • Maintain 5S standards and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and perform other duties as assigned.

The Opportunity

Polydeck is seeking a Rubber Operator II to operate molding equipment and produce high-quality rubber panels that meet established production and quality standards. This role is responsible for safely operating multiple molding machines, inspecting finished products, monitoring production output, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

What You Will Do
  • Review work orders and verify that raw materials and inserts are correct prior to beginning production.
  • Load inserts into molding machines, start production cycles, and obtain first-piece approval before beginning full production runs.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position is performed in a non-conditioned manufacturing environment where dust, noise, and rubber odors are present. Employees regularly work with molding machines, hand tools, gauges, and related production equipment.

The role requires sufficient vision and hearing to perform essential duties safely and effectively. Safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and other required PPE must be worn in the manufacturing facility. This position involves heavy work, including lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 50 pounds. The role requires continuous standing and walking, frequent reaching and lifting/carrying, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs or ladders.
