Job summary

UTEX Industries in Weimar, TX is seeking a Rubber Machine Operator to safely and efficiently operate mills, extruders, calenders and related equipment to process rubber materials for downstream production.

You will input data into the MRP system, perform quality checks, and maintain safety and housekeeping standards throughout the shift; forklift certification may be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 1+ years manufacturing experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to use measuring tools and basic computer programs.
• Basic math, computer, and communication skills.
• Comfortable with physical tasks like bending, climbing, and kneeling.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate process equipment including mills, extruders, calenders, barwells, and friction tower.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Accurately input production data into the MRP system.
• Perform product quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Use measuring and inspection tools.
• Support preventative maintenance and housekeeping standards.
• Follow PPE, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Work closely with supervisors and other team members to meet production goals.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Operate forklifts (certification required or provided).

Work Environment

You’ll work in both manufacturing and office environments, using tools and equipment daily. PPE and steel-toed footwear are required.

Expected Hours Of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
