Job summary

Townley Engineering & Manufacturing Co. is seeking a Rubber Finishing Dept. Technician to perform final inspections, trimming, cleaning, and minor repairs to ensure quality rubber products leave the line. You will prepare parts for shipment and apply finishing touches while maintaining accurate records.

You will work in a manufacturing environment with PPE requirements and a fast-paced team setting, collaborating across departments to meet shipping deadlines and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect imperfections by sight and touch.
• Ability to read and follow build sheets, drawings, and production specifications.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet shipping deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Performing final inspections to verify product quality and specifications.
• Completing finishing work such as trimming, grinding, smoothing, and cleaning.
• Operating and maintaining equipment such as cranes, trimming and grinding tools.
• Conducting minor repairs on products when needed.
• Keeping detailed records of finished products and repairs.
• Participates in ongoing on-the-job training to adhere to company policies.
• Adding finishing touches to the appearance of components.
• Collaborating with team members and other departments to meet shipping deadlines.
• Complying with internal policies and industry regulations.
• Following instructions from supervisors to complete assigned work projects.
• Ensuring work area is clean and safe.
