Job summary

Victaulic seeks a Project Engineer in Easton, PA to lead rubber/elastomer formulation for non-metallic components and advanced material solutions. You will guide projects from concept through production, collaborating with plastics, elastomers, coatings and metals teams.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in rubber/elastomer formulation, strong analytical skills, and experience with molding processes and instrumental analysis. Domestic travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical, Materials, or Polymer Engineering; MS preferred.
• 2+ years hands-on rubber/elastomer formulation experience.
• Knowledge of Mooney viscosity, cure rheometry and durometer hardness.
• Experience with rubber molding (compression, transfer, injection).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and commercialization of rubber/elastomer formulations.
• Guide concepts to production using phased development and design reviews.
• Select curing systems, fillers and additives for rubber compounds.
• Troubleshoot molding processes and resolve compound-related defects.
• Conduct instrumental analysis (FTIR, DMA, DSC, TGA; tensile testing).
• Coordinate cross-department teams through testing and validation.
