Job summary

Acuren is seeking RT Level II Technicians to support our Midland, TX operations. The role focuses on nondestructive testing with radiography and other methods, on-site responsibilities, and potential supervision of assistants.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, Level II RT certification, and be based in Midland/Odessa area. Travel may be required; local candidates preferred due to on-site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Interpret radiographs and readouts; organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections and may supervise others
• Travel may be required as needed by assignments

Acuren is currently recruiting for RT Level II Technicians to support our operation in Midland, TX.

Level II RT Technicians shall be familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being utilized and exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of assistants and Level I Technicians. Must be able to provide current or prior copies of certifications in methods as well as classroom documentation. Must be willing to trave

LOCATION REQUIREMENTS: We are currently seeking candidates who are based in or near Midland/Odessa, TX (within approximately a 50-mile radius). While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to local candidates due to the on-site requirements of this role.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Certified Level II RT
• DR/CR expertise preferred but not required
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in report writing
• Based in or near Midland/Odessa, TX (within approximately a 50-mile radius).
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training preferred
• Industrial Radiographer State Card/Trainee status a plus
• Valid TIWC card or be able to obtain
