Job summary

Acuren is recruiting for RT Level II Technicians to support our operation in Longview, TX. This on-site role requires local residency or proximity to Longview and involves setting up NDT equipment, performing tests, and reporting results with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualified candidates hold a Level II NDT certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and must meet training and travel requirements. Travel may be required to support field inspections and client projects.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework preferred.
• Certified Level II in NDT.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret inspection results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment.
• Based in or near Longview, TX.
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training.
• Industrial Radiography State Card (trainee status a plus).
• IRRSP card preferred.
• Valid TWIC card or ability to obtain.
• Must provide current or prior copies of certifications and classroom documentation.
• Willing to travel as needed.

LOCATION REQUIREMENTS: We are currently seeking candidates who are based in or near Longview, TX. While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to local candidates due to the on‑site requirements of this role.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job‑related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements
