Job summary

Acuren is recruiting for Level II RT Technicians to support our Corpus Christi, TX operation. Local candidates are preferred; relocation assistance is available but per diem and travel pay are not provided.

This full-time role involves setting up NDT equipment, performing tests, interpreting radiographs, and reporting results, with opportunities to supervise others and contribute to safety and quality programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college preferred.
• Certified Level II in RT.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Ability to interpret inspection results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment.
• Experience in report writing.
• Based in or near Corpus Christi, TX (within ~30 miles).
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training preferred.
• Industrial Radiographer State Card (Trainee status preferred).
• Valid TWIC card or ability to obtain.
• Willing to relocate for full-time position if not local.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Location Requirements

We are currently seeking local candidates based in Corpus Christi, TX | South, TX. While we welcome applications from all qualified candidates, local availability is preferred due to the nature of this role.

Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates. Please note that these are full-time positions; therefore, per diem, travel pay, and mileage reimbursement are not provided.
