Job summary

Acuren Inspection, Inc. is seeking RT Assistants to support on-site NDT operations in Longview, Texas. You will assist Radiographers, calibrate equipment, perform tests, and document results according to published instructions.

Qualified candidates must have 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training or an IRRPS card, be based in/near Longview, and pass a background check. TWIC or obtainability is preferred.

Position Summary

Acuren is currently seeking qualified RT Assistants with 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training OR IRRPS card to support operations in Longview, Texas.

NDT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

LOCATION REQUIREMENTS: We are currently seeking candidates who are based in or near Longview, TX while all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply; preference will be given to local candidates due to the on‑site requirements of this role.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Technical background desired
• Must have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles
• Based in or near Longview, TX
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training (40RAD)
• Industrial Radiographer State Card (trainee status a plus)
• IRRSP card preferred
• Valid TWIC card or be able to obtain
