Job summary

Acuren in Longview, Texas is seeking qualified RT Assistants to support on-site nondestructive testing operations. Responsibilities include assisting radiographers with calibration, data collection, and defect evaluation following written instructions.

Applicants should have a High School diploma, specific NDT credentials (40RAD, IRRSP, TWIC) and be based in or near Longview to meet on-site requirements; some college and technical background are favored.

Qualifications

• Technical background helpful for NDT calibration and inspection tasks.
• Candidates must pass a background check for federal/state regulations compliance.
• Must have driving record meeting company standards to operate company vehicles.
• Based in or near Longview, TX for on-site requirements.
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training (40RAD) completed or in process.
• Industrial Radiographer State Card (trainee status acceptable).
• IRRSP card preferred to support radiography work.
• TWIC card valid or ability to obtain one is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and use Nondestructive Test equipment for duties.
• Assist Radiographers in calibrating NDT equipment.
• Assist Radiographers to perform tests to detect defects using NDT methods.
• Record inspection results and maintain documentation.
• Assist in performing NDT procedures and handling equipment.
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management.

Position Summary

Acuren is currently seeking qualified RT Assistants with 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training OR IRRPS card to support operations in Longview, Texas.

NDT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

LOCATION REQUIREMENTS: We are currently seeking candidates who are based in or near Longview, TX while all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply; preference will be given to local candidates due to the on‑site requirements of this role.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• Must have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles
