Job summary

Acuren is seeking NDT and RT Assistants to support our Midland, TX operation. The role involves assisting in calibrations, nondestructive testing, and evaluating results according to instructions and recordkeeping requirements.

You will help set up equipment and support radiographers during inspections to detect defects and ensure quality. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, some college, and a technical background.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred.
• Technical background desired.

Position Summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for NDT and RT Assistants to support our operation in Midland TX.

NDT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Technical background desired
• Must be able to have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training(40RAD) preferred
• Valid TWIC card or able to obtain

LOCATION REQUIREMENTS: We are currently seeking candidates who are based in or near Midland, TX. While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to local candidates due to the on-site requirements of the positions.
