Job summary
Rosenbauer America Group in Lyons Township, SD, is seeking a Detail Supervisor to lead the Detail team, manage workflow, output, and schedule, and drive continuous improvements in production processes.
You will update the production manager and department heads on project progress, write performance reviews, and ensure trucks meet specs and quality standards. Strong leadership and safety commitment are required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Extensive experience with Detail department preferred.
- General knowledge of Rosenbauer vehicles preferred.

- Continuously improve production processes and team development.
- Update the production manager and other department heads on project progress and exchange parts as needed.
- Writes performance reviews and work with HR to address worker related issues as they occur.
- Inspects reviews of trucks to confirm each truck meets its specs and quality standards.
- Manages inventory of tools and parts, creating POs as necessary and keep department running smoothly.
- Keeps everyone safe by enforcing all employees to follow strict safety guidelines and have a clean work environment.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

As the Detail Supervisor, you are responsible for managing and leading the Detail team to complete their responsibilities. They will manage the workflow, output, and schedule of the department. They must continuously improve production processes and team members development. The Detail Supervisor will update the production manager and other department heads of your departments progress on given project and exchange parts as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma/GED.
- Extensive experience with Detail department preferred
- General knowledge of Rosenbauer vehicles preferred
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to use effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to learn how to run a computer terminal or PC.
- No prior experience required (Incumbent will look up and/or enter information into a pre-formatted screen).
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Able to lead and supervise a team of employees effectively and with a positive attitude and affirmativeness.
- Ability to identify quality issues and recognize changes within one’s production process and make the needed adjustments.
- Ability to maintain detailed, accurate records.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
- Must be able to professionally work with customers, vendors, and external business leaders.
- Requires responsibility, ability to work well as a team member, and to work well independently.
