Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a full-time night shift to deliver skilled respiratory care across emergency, ICU, and acute care settings.

You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage ventilation and airway support, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have an accredited Respiratory Therapist credential (NBRC) and State registration.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS required within 30 days of start date.
• PALS required within 30 days of start date.
• NRP required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and determine need for interventions.
• Deliver oxygen therapy, aerosolized meds, airway clearance techniques, and other treatments.
• Manage ventilation and airway support, including invasive/noninvasive ventilation.
• Educate patients and families; act as resource to care team; support newborns during deliveries when needed.
• Maintain and disinfect equipment; ensure readiness and infection control.
