Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care under physician orders and to consult on therapy effectiveness. The role requires an RCP license and NBRC RRT credential, with PALS required for ER staff. No prior experience is required, just completion of a CoARC-approved program.

You will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff as an advanced respiratory care resource and perform duties as assigned to support patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• RRT credential NBRC.
• PALS required for ER staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned.
