Methodist Hospital Westover Hills in San Antonio, TX seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) PRN to join the acute care team and deliver high-quality pulmonary care. You will assess and treat patients, administer therapies, and monitor responses under physician orders.

Operated devices include ventilators and gas administration; emergency care, ABG analysis and collaboration with the care team are required. Licensure, NBRC credentials, and BLS/ACLS within defined timelines are essential.

Competenze

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program and licensed in Texas.
• NBRC credential as RRT or CRT is required (CRT grandfathered if applicable).
• BLS on hire; ACLS within 90 days of employment. PALS/NRP as needed.
• 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience preferred for PRN role.

Mansioni

• Assess, treat and care for patients with pulmonary disorders using respiratory modalities.
• Operate ventilators and devices, administer gases, aerosols and disposable products.
• Provide emergency care including artificial ventilation and CPR support.
• Collect arterial blood gases and monitor values to guide therapy.
• Follow physician orders on treatment type, mode and duration; ensure safety.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to adjust plans of care.
