Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant in San Antonio is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) PRN to assess, treat and care for patients with pulmonary disorders, operating ventilators and related devices per physician orders.

Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner and NBRC credential required. BLS and ACLS within 90 days; PALS/NRP within 90 days if required. You will collaborate with nurses and physicians as part of the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

Formación

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
• 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.
• Current Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• NBRC credential: RRT or CRT (CRT grandfathered if applicable).
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS/NRP within 90 days if department requires.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and set up devices such as ventilators and related respiratory care equipment per treatment parameters.
• Provide emergency care including artificial ventilation and assist CPR.
• Collect and analyze arterial blood gases and interpret results.
• Follow physician orders on treatment type, mode, duration, and medications.
• Monitor patient response using vital signs, ABG, SpO2 and etCO2.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and health professionals to manage care plans.
