Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. This full-time night-shift role offers a 36-hour week with a pay range of $30.70-$46.05 per hour and a $20,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

You will provide respiratory therapies, manage ventilation and airway support, and ensure patient safety across adult and pediatric care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved two or four-year program for respiratory care.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC and NC license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• PALS and NRP within 90 days of employment for pediatrics; ACLS within 90 days for adults.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards; promotes cooperative work environment.
• Provides respiratory therapies per age-appropriate standards of care and policies.
• Initiates and maintains mechanical ventilation and airway support.
• Reports routine clinical procedures to relief personnel; maintains competency for point-of-care testing.
• Provides invasive and non-invasive monitoring to ensure patient safety.
• Maintains professional knowledge and supports quality improvement.
• Ensures age-appropriate patient care per Age-Specific Care Guidelines.
