The Respiratory Therapist - RRT at Community Health Systems, Inc. provides pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic respiratory care under physician orders, aligning with patient care plans and hospital policies.

This full-time role is 36 hours per week, 5p-5a, with no call and no weekends, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Responsibilities include administering treatments, ABG punctures, ventilator management, and documenting patient responses in the EMR.

Formación

• RRT certification required
• BCLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable
• 1-3 years acute care experience preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Responsabilidades

• Administers advanced respiratory treatments and monitors responses
• Performs ABG punctures and reports results promptly
• Assists physicians with bedside procedures
• Operates and maintains respiratory equipment per safety standards
• Documents therapies and patient responses in EMR
• Ensures PPE use and infection control compliance
