Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for full-time day shifts. You’ll perform neonatal and adult respiratory care, including blood gas analysis, and educate families on procedures and care plans.

Required are a relevant associate degree and multiple certifications; sign-on bonus is available and support for professional development is provided.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required.
• Work experience: neonatal respiratory care experience or orientation and competency validation required.
• Licenses: RRT, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and general and critical care respiratory procedures for adults and neonates.
• Maintains and manages equipment; provides education to patients and families in Labor & Delivery and NICU.

Responsibilities:

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
