Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital in Covington, GA seeks a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to perform patient assessments and a wide range of respiratory procedures for adults and neonates. The role includes blood gas analysis, equipment maintenance, and patient-family education. A neonatal background and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist and state license required upon hire.
• Neonatal respiratory care experience or orientation with competency validation desired.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and general/critical care respiratory procedures.
• Provides respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery.
• Conducts blood gas analysis and interpretation.
• Maintains and manages equipment; educates patients and families in adult and neonatal care.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
