Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy per physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for the care team.

Requirements include graduation from a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP license, and NBRC-credentialed RRT. ACLS is preferred; physical demands include lifting/crawling as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license as per state requirements.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC) required.
• ACLS is preferred.
• Must meet physical demands including push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs, kneel/crouch/crawl as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy and acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nurses.
• Performs duties as assigned.
