Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist who provides direct patient care across all respiratory modalities and collaborates with physicians to optimize therapy. The role involves acting as an advanced resource for the care team, ensuring protocols are followed and care is delivered with compassion.

The position requires RRT credentialing, state licensure, and ongoing physical readiness to handle demanding clinical duties in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current state licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC.
• PALS required for ER staff.
• Must meet physical demands (push/pull up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care.
• Consult physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Serve as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing staff.
• Perform duties as assigned.
