Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care across respiratory services in accordance with physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as a resource to physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care. Duties include other assigned tasks as needed.

This role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and benefits starting day one, with opportunities to advance within a compassionate healing ministry.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the NBRC; for ER coworkers, PALS is required.
• Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders.
• Consult physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Act as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
