Job summary
Kindred Hospital Chicago North is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care to patients of all ages. Responsibilities include performing respiratory therapy treatments, ventilator management, and diagnostic testing. Candidates must possess a current state license, certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, and relevant credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care. Qualifications
Graduate of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory therapy program leading to CRT or RRT eligibility.
Current state license or certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
BLS certification required within facility policy timeframe.
ACLS certification required within facility policy timeframe.
PALS and NRP certifications required within facility policy timeframe.
Responsibilities
Perform respiratory therapy procedures including oxygen therapy and nebulizer treatments.
Assist with emergency interventions and code response.
Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators.
Obtain and interpret arterial blood gases.
Conduct pulmonary function testing and identify arrhythmias.
