Job summary

Northside Hospital in Woodstock, GA, seeks a Sleep Technologist to prepare adolescents to geriatric patients for sleep studies and monitor polysomnography overnight. You will assist with sensor placement, patient acclimation to CPAP, and post-study documentation under protocol.

Responsibilities include scoring polysomnograms, preparing dictation reports, and supporting training and competency assessments as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Expertise in sleep disorders, sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respirations.
• Minimum 1 year of sleep study experience.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current BRPT Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or unrestricted registration.

Responsibilities

• Arrives to work on time and reviews the night activity list.
• Review patient charts, greet patients, complete paperwork and pre-test assessment.
• Apply recording sensors and acclimate patient to CPAP as applicable; perform pre-recording calibration.
• Monitor recording per protocol, document and intervene as needed.
• End recording per protocol, complete post-study documentation, remove sensors and cleanup.
• Score polysomnograms and prepare reports for dictation; assist in training and competency assessments.
