Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist to perform comprehensive sleep testing and scoring, under the supervision of the Director of Sleep Services. This position involves night shifts, data collection, patient education, and adherence to AASM standards.

You will oversee other sleep center staff, ensure data quality, and maintain credentialing while providing patient-centered care across neonatal to geriatric populations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates in diagnostic medical sonography preferred.
• Certifications: NBRC SDS or RPSGT or RST required upon hire.
• BLS or ARC-BLS/BLS-Instructor required upon hire.
• Maintain sleep technology credential and CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform sleep study procedures including in center and out of center testing.
• Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events per AASM guidelines.
• Generate reports with accurate data and ensure data quality.
• Educate patients and supervise sleep center staff as needed.
• Follow HIPAA and sleep center protocols; ensure safety and infection control.
