Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Team Leader for our Survey team in Lubbock or Midland, TX. The ideal candidate is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor with 3+ years of management experience and extensive survey expertise.

You will manage survey teams, deliver projects on time and within budget, provide mentorship, and grow client relationships across West Texas. Texas licensure or ability to obtain within one year is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of survey project management experience.
• Licensed RPLS in Texas (or ability to obtain within one year).
• Proven experience managing large-scale survey projects and supervising field and office staff.
• Strong knowledge of boundary and right-of-way resolution.
• Experience preparing proposals and supporting business development efforts.
• Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and external clients.
• Ability to work independently while mentoring and developing junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage, grow, and lead the Survey Teams in West Texas.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to the Survey practice.
• Oversee current and future projects in West Texas as Survey Team Leader.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and grow market presence in West Texas.
• Manage budgets, personnel, schedules, sub consultants, and client interaction.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, management, and development of the survey team and clients.
• Lead staff engagement, profitability, and client advocacy; align with office and company objectives.
