Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Director of Survey for South Texas (San Antonio, Austin, Houston area). This leadership role leads multiple surveying teams, drives regional growth, and maintains strong client relationships. A minimum of 10 years in land surveying with 5 years as an RPLS is preferred.

The position offers career development with ownership opportunities and cross-office collaboration with TX teams. Candidates should have a Texas RPLS and strong business development skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in surveying or related field.
• 10+ years in land surveying with 5+ years as an RPLS.
• Texas Licensed RPLS; ability to obtain other states.
• Strong leadership, client management, and business development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support multiple surveying teams through Team Leaders and Senior Team Leaders.
• Balance operational leadership with strategic growth, sales, and client development.
• Oversee financial performance, staffing, scheduling, QA/QC, and workshare across survey teams.
• Provide technical leadership ensuring QA/QC standards and best practices.
• Drive regional growth in land surveying, geomatics, and related services.
• Mentor and develop senior staff, supporting performance and retention.
• Collaborate with operations managers on staffing and resource planning.
