Job summary
Medical Mutual is seeking an experienced RPG Software Developer (IBM iSeries/AS400) to support critical healthcare eligibility, claims, and data integration processes from its Cleveland, OH base. The role emphasizes troubleshooting legacy applications, data interfaces, and COBOL familiarity within an IBM iSeries environment.
Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in CS or related field, 3+ years in information systems, and 2+ years in analysis/design, with a strong foundation in SDLC and
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, business or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years information systems experience.
- Minimum 2 years analysis and design experience.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains applications by writing code based on design to ensure business rules, security standards and regulations are met.
- Leads project teams as development lead on less complex systems or subsystems as needed.
- Leads testing, implementation, and break-fix tasks across multiple platforms.
- Develops documentation of technical workflows and system designs and verifies against requirements.
- Works with database and security staff to ensure data and security standards are applied.
- Learns new technical concepts and software languages as needed.
