Job summary

Guild Mortgage Company is seeking an RPG Developer III to design, maintain, and implement in-house applications on IBM System i using Websmart, RPG, and CLLE. You will collaborate with business partners and IT teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, problem diagnosis, and performance tuning within a mortgage banking context, with strong emphasis on quality and customer service.

Qualifications

• Five years of hands-on RPG development on IBMi in complex projects.
• Expert knowledge of RPG and CL on IBMi incl. binding directories and service programs.
• Strong SQL/DB2, data-centric architecture and performance tuning.
• Experience with Websmart, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, CSS.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in deadline-driven environment and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test and maintain in-house applications on IBM System i using Websmart, RPG and CLLE.
• Collaborate with users, Business Analysts and IT teammates to document requirements and translate them into technical specs.
• Create and use binding directories, binder source, prototypes, sub-procedures and service programs.
• Apply data-centric architecture concepts to update programs and resolve performance issues.
• Lead project-related activities and assist in change management and training materials.
• Provide escalation support and mentor junior team members.
