Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Ground Control Station Technician Lead to support an Air Force RPA unit at Shaw AFB, SC. You will supervise maintenance on GCSs, perform preventive actions, and install electronic and IT systems in a 24/7 environment.

Ideal candidates have five years in avionics or GCS maintenance, TS/SCI clearance, and strong documentation skills. The role includes field leadership, liaison with customers, and adherence to Air Force instructions.

Qualifications

Associate degree or completed relevant military/vocational training.
Minimum of five years in Aircraft Avionics, Ground Control Station, SATCOM, or related maintenance.
Thorough knowledge of publications for aircraft and GCS electronics maintenance.
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and data tables.
MS Office proficiency and ability to document maintenance actions.
Current DoD TS/SCI clearance required, willing to maintain clearance.

Responsibilities

Interfaces with the customer regularly, providing strong service and communication.
Follow AFI 21-101 and Technical Data in maintenance actions and documentation.
Document maintenance actions using logs and AFTO 781s; utilize MIS.
Apply advanced electronics knowledge to diagnose and remediate faults.
Guide lower-level technicians; perform and supervise maintenance of GCS and related systems.
Work with radar, radio, SATCOM, and navigational equipment; read diagrams and data tables.
