Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Ground Control Station Technician Lead to support the Shaw Air Force Base RPAs. The role performs and supervises organizational level maintenance on GCSs, troubleshoots and installs electronic and IT systems, and ensures compliance with Air Force Technical Data.

The candidate will guide junior technicians and coordinate with the Site Manager to maintain 24/7/365 operations. Required are an associate degree or military/technical training, minimum five years in avionics,

Qualifications

Associate degree or relevant military/technical school completed.
Minimum five years actual and recent aircraft avionics, GCS, SATCOM, or related maintenance experience.
Working knowledge of basic/complex electronics maintenance and repair.
Able to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and data tables.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Security clearance (DoD TS/SCI) required.

Responsibilities

Interface with the customer regularly, delivering excellent service and communication.
Adhere to AFI 21-101 Aircraft and Equipment Maintenance Management and Technical Data.
Document maintenance actions and discrepancies using logs and MIS.
Diagnose and repair electronic systems, circuits, and RF equipment.
Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and supervise tasks.
Maintain, repair, and install various electronic equipment and related devices, including radar, SATCOM, and IT systems.
