SouthState Bank is seeking an RPA Developer to drive efficiency through automation as part of its digital transformation. The role involves designing and implementing RPA solutions, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with Agile methodologies. SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES
Driving efficiency through automation is a strategic initiative, and the RPA Developer is responsible for executing on that front. As part of an ongoing digital transformation, RPA plays a critical role in driving scalability within our core banking platform and third-party providers.
Solution design, workflow orchestration, and adherence to Agile / SCRUM methodologies are all essential in the execution of the RPA Developer's duties. The RPA Developer will be expected to maintain effective communication with lines of business and third-party partners, while developing meaningful solutions that increase efficiency and reduce costs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Strong understanding and implementation of best practice RPA design patterns
Mentor junior staff and work closely with systems support staff.
Design, develop, and configure complex Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software systems to meet business process and application requirements
Facilitating process evaluation and solution design
Design reusable custom activities to reduce repetitive efforts and streamline workflows
Facilitate testing and implementation that is compliant with internal change management
Maintain separation between testing, UAT, and production environments
Translate business requirements into effective workflows
Ability to design solutions with flexibility around changing business needs and requirements
Effective time management and forecasting for planning and meeting deadlines
Familiarity with Agile / SCRUM methodologies

COMPETENCIES
Experience with Microsoft .NET Framework
Proficiency in programing languages such as VB.NET, C#
RPA Platform Experience (UiPath and Nintex Preferred)
Experience with UiPath both on-prem and cloud
Experience with defining standards for scaling automation environments
Experience with implementing end-to-end execution of various processes using attended and unattended bots
Experience with SQL or other relational databases and/or document stores
Experience with REST API's
Experience with version control system (Git and GitHub)
Knowledge of applying AI Framework such as Document Understanding, Computer Vision to automation workflows
Experience with core banking integrations (Fiserv Premier preferred)
Understanding of requirements and partnering with lines of business to implement them
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications, Education, and certification Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related degree-preferred but not required
Experience: 3.5+ years in general software development with experience in complex automation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, & reports. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.
