Job summary

Roc Nation LLC in New York, NY is seeking a Royalties Associate Manager to own royalty accounting across our recorded music, distribution and licensing businesses. You will work hands-on with contracts, statements, and recoupment schedules, coordinating with Finance, Business & Legal Affairs and label operations to ensure accurate, timely royalty payments.

The role demands detail-oriented analysis, strong Excel skills, and the ability to interpret agreements to apply correct royalty terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance or music business.
• 3–5 years of royalty accounting or related finance work.
• Strong knowledge of recording contracts, licensing, and recoupment.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivots and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review royalty statements for artists, producers, and third parties.
• Calculate royalty rates, advances, recoupment balances, and reserves.
• Maintain artist and contract records in royalty systems.
• Reconcile data with distributors, DSPs and label revenue reporting.
• Support monthly/quarterly accruals and cash forecasting related to royalties.
• Collaborate with Business & Legal Affairs to ensure contract terms align with deals.
• Identify process improvements for royalty calculations and reporting workflows.
