Job summary

Kobalt Music Group in Nashville is seeking a Royalties Manager to lead a three-person team responsible for retrieving, ingesting, and reconciling royalty data with payments from income sources, ensuring publishers’ revenue is accurate and timely.

You will work with Global Digital Business deals, YouTube, MLC, and other partners, partnering with the Senior Manager to evolve processing workflows and develop clear, scalable processes while reporting on performance.

Qualifications

• Experience retrieving, ingesting, and reconciling royalty data with payments.
• Knowledge of US statutory royalty rates and 115 vs non-115 licensing.
• Experience with major US mechanical sources and DSPs such as YouTube, MRI, and HFA.
• Strong Excel skills and work with rights management systems like Vistex.
• Ability to translate data requirements into actionable processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of three in royalty data processing and reconciliation.
• Oversee LatAm, US Major Labels, and core US sources like YouTube and MLC.
• Lead Global Digital Business deal processing with partners and DSPs.
• Collaborate with Senior Manager to document and improve processing sources.
• Own processes tracking incoming payments and quarterly royalty processing accuracy.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable operational processes.
• Generate and maintain regular and ad hoc reports evaluating process performance.
