Baekjeong Rowland Heights is seeking a pantry cook to support daily kitchen operations in Rowland Heights, CA. You will prep and portion fresh dishes, prepare sauces and garnishes, and ensure proper labeling and safe storage of items.

The role requires the ability to work quickly in a team, follow safety rules, and handle up to 50 pounds, with experience in a busy kitchen preferred. High School or GED is expected, and knowledge of authentic Korean flavors is a plus.

Qualificações

• Must know how to clean, sharpen, maintain kitchen knives.
• Familiar with the taste of authentic Korean food preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare for service.
• Prepare a variety of foods including various side dishes.
• Prepare sauces and garnishes.
• Label, date, and store all food items per safe handling procedures.
• Inform chef in advance of likely shortages.
• Check food plating, temperature, and portions for all dishes.
• Sterilize kitchen equipment at the end of your shift.
• Monitor stock and place orders, as needed.
• Set up sanitizer buckets and towels for station.
• Temperature checks for all coolers.
• Set up rubber floor mats at station.
• Tastings with team members.
• Disinfect prep surface areas.
• Sweep and mop designated areas.
• Sweep and mop walk in cooler and dry storage area.
• Ensure all products are labeled correctly in the walk-in cooler.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Details: Job Location: Rowland Heights Baekjeong - Rowland Heights, CA 91748, Salary Range: $18.00 - $18.00 Hourly, Job Category: Restaurant - Food Service, The ideal candidate will preform kitchen tasks such as preparing and portioning fresh dishes daily. A great pantry cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.
